We painted well over half of our C/F GTO Hood and the added weight was less than 2lbs. That is a large hood! C/F hoods are easy to paint, assuming your painter knows how to work with composites in general. Our customers do it all the time with hoods and front bumpers and we have never had an issue.

I cant stand when people dont paint CF hoods.... paint will nto make it as heavy as the stock hood... unless your paint is made of something extremely heavy...

To me unless it looks realllllly good which it doesnt always, leaving the CF look is tack and ricer like....

its like people are saying hey look I bought a CF hood look at it pleaseeeee....

just paint it and have the weight reduction and scoop with a clean cut look
