Many have done it, it will fit no problem. I also think it looks much better.

I took mine off my 2.4L. Maybe I will sell it, but I am not sure. I like the meaner look without it on there.

it's funny all the SS S/C guys want the grill and all the SS N/A seem to be taking them out. All about changing and personalizing.

Another funny thing is that SS/SC people are adding the armrest, while I was thinking about taking it off. Haha. Customization and personalization is everywhere.

Haha ! last friday nite..I hit a dog .. it was dark and i saw it 2late...anyways..i looked at my car and it knocked my lower grille right off. Next day, I see it in sun. now i'm sorry for the dog, but i'm so happy i hit the dog now..cuz I like the mean look without it on.

ps...the dog lived for what i know...it was no where to be seen after the hit....but if you didn't make...sorry for hitting you, but thank you for making my front of my car look badass!

I took an SS S/C w/ armrest for a spin to see if i wanted to get one put in but for me its get in the way of shifting and the only time i would see myself using it is long trips.

Who makes the armrest? I thought Chevy didn't sell one for the manual b/c it would get in the way of the shifter. Could anyone forward me the link?

snaps in...maybe 15 seconds worth of effort. You can secure it better once its in using self tapping screws or pop rivets.
