ss/sc bodykit ripoff

i just want to say that anyone who got the stock body kit through their dealer for anything more than 500 got extremely ripped off. i went to a body shop and they said they would order, paint and install the parts all for 400. just wanted to share that cuz i have heard of numerous people on here getting ripped off

My dealer said it would cost me 1800 total. That was including the wing though.

I didn't say I paid 1800 for it. I wasn't going to pay that much. I just paid a visit one day cause I was bored and that was the price he gave me.

Do you have a 2.4 SS or a 2dr Ls. Because if it's an Ls $1800 paint and install for everything isn't that bad cause that all new bumper covers as well. But if it's a 2.4 SS thats the biggest rip ever and I'm glad to hear you didn't buy it.

I've been wanting to get the SS/SC lips for my 2.4. So what should I expect as far as parts, paint, and labor? And I'm still hearing debate over whether the 2.4 rear fascia is different from the 2.0 rear fascia. I thought it was the same fascia with a different lip (or extension, whatever you wanna call it) on the bottom of the fascia. Do you guys know for sure?

well if you already ordered it you better hope i fits lol. But anyways, painting anything on a car these days isnt very cheap. i'd expect at least 150 for the paint even though they are just lips. not sure about installation

I haven't ordered anything. I'm thinking about it... but I'd like to know for sure whether the rear is two pieces or one on the SS/SC. Some people tell me, "yeah it's two pieces." Others say that it's all one piece or that the SS/SC has a different rear fascia. I guess I could call the dealer and ask... but you never know if even they are right. A salesman at a local Chevy dealer told me that the SS had a 2.2L engine. I'd rather hear from someone with hands-on experience.

the ss rear is two pieces...the 2.0 bumper is identical to that of the 2.4 except for the lip...same goes for the front (except for the missing lower grill piece on the 2.0)

This is spectacular news. I would like to get the lower lips in the back and front. Now it's a matter of cost...

I'd like to get the kit on my LT. I've really been regreting not getting the SS/SC. Not really for the performance, but the looks. I'm in Buffalo, NY and don't have any exp. with body kits. Anyone have any idea what to search for to find out where in my area I can get this ordered and installed?
