Are the SS/Sc lens's tinted or is the chrome tinted?

Hey I am going to paint my ss/sc headlights color matched. They are a different tint than the regular SS and other cobalts. My question is this is the tint in the Chrome or is the lens tinted?
Thanks

Thats right, I didnt know untill I pulled them apart and put the lens down.
Then I looked at it and thought thats not good!
But they turned out nice, besides even the new corvettes lights dont match 100%
