I took my SS into the dealer today to have the hood repainted and to have an area with a thin layer of paint fixed. On the hood, there were uneven dark and light spots with odd shapes in them, almost like there was an object in front of the paint as it went on and left a shadow.

Be sure to check your cars, look at the hood especially in the sun from different angles, and distances. They told me this is the first one they have had a paint problem with, but I've heard from other people online that they have also found paint defects.

I showed them at the shop and they agreed on the spot that it should be fixed and were extremely helpful.
