steering wheel & quick release

Has anyone installed a quick release, hub, and steering wheel into the car? I was thinking about getting one and wondering which company they used and how well it works except the steering wheel controls. I'd loose my cruise control and all that.

Josh has swapped his wheel for an aftermarket wheel. Can't remember if he did a quick release or not. Think that he posted pictures about it at some point. I also think Powell has something for wheels too.

Which company did you go through for the hub and quick release? You'll have to enlighten me on how you saved the cruise control. I was looking at nrg for there stuff. Was at a car show n the girl I'm talking to does all the drift stuff and I was looking at all these cars have them and thought it would be cool. Lol

you don't keep cruise control with powells. it does keep the signal cancellers though

No but you can easily relocate cruise control. If your wheel has 2 buttons and horn, wire it up for cruise on/off and set. 2 buttons, one for horn and one for set, leave the cruise switch on (wire it on).

you can have cruise if you want it sparco have an extra set of buttons you can add to the wheel. I am told that NRG have a new hub and q-d that works, a local here installed and while I have not seen it personally he says it installs and works good.

FYI.

the only one that still works besides yours that i know of is the nrg srk170h. you can pair that up with any nrg quick release which has momo/sparco/nardi wheel patterns on it for easy install

they work but it took a semi to hit me for them to work.... i had them disabled because of my seats but the seat belt tensioners locked which means bag deployment usually if they are active.

Sure I'll get flamed for this...

Im running a nrg srk170h hub, sparco quick release, 3" spacer and a sparco wheel. biggest pain im having is trying to rewire the horn up by splicing the factory harness

update; that hub still requires a hammer and is not correct. oh well. people use them its their risk. not a smart risk but its up to them.

What about when its starts beeping through the cluster saying service airbag soon cause you removed it? Can I turn that off somehow? Or do I have to deal with that whn I get a sparco steering wheel
