Stock Fog Lights
Hello all. Newbie here. First off, I'd like to say this is a pretty cool looking site and I'm glad I found it.
Last month, my wife decided to buy me a Cobalt to go and forth to work because gas prices being so high andour '04 denali is like a sponge.
She got me a 2 door LS 2005 Black cobalt. I wish it was stick, Ireally wish it was the SS. But it was a suprise gift for my 30th birthday, so beggers can't be choosers.
My question is, is it possible to get stock fog lights installed? Where do I get the parts from? GMparts.com? Does anyone know the part number?
Thanks in advance.

i looked into getting stock foglamps from my dealer for the SS. all i needed was the fog lamp and harness ( but i do have the ss front bumper). final cost would of been 330 for it. so prolly aftermarket may be a lot cheaper way to go.

I'm old school
This may be more difficult then you think. The stock set up uses a button on the dash. I don't know if a car not originally equipped would have a knockout for that button or not. Then the system interfaces with the rest of your lights. It's not just a stand alone system, there is some switch logic involved. Then, like it has already been said, you would need to get the new grill inserts, the brackets, the lights themselves, harness, switch, and who know what else. It won't be cheap.
If you didn't get them originally with the car, just go aftermarket. Lots cheaper, way easier.

I was thinking aftermarket light and setup as well, all I really want is grill inserts for the stock fogs. I appreciate the idea's and suggestions. I'll look into it a little more and post my finished project.
Sorry JonelZ, I didn't see the "apperence" section.
