Hey guys,
well the car has 40km on it, and 3 of the 4 wheels are chipping pretty good in the corners. I've only had the car for 3 months now (bought it used), but just want to be informed on what gm does to fix the chipping wheel paint problems.

Do they replace wheels and take off tires? Do they just send them out to be repainted? If so, would i get a set of steelies to drive on? Most likely, ill take them off the car myself and drop them off once everything has beeen figured out.

Just would like to be informed on how well the dealership will warranty this issue. Cause the stock rims are mint, and would like them to be fixed.

send them out to be repainted. they keep your car for like a week and send them out.

 

Yep . I took mine in , was in a rental for a week and they sent mine out to be re-finished . In my case , the re-finished wheels looked 100% better than stock . They did match the stock paint color perfectly as far as darkness goes and the clearcoat is much thicker and shinier .

 

i had one of my rims chipping, they refinsihed one, now another one is doin it, the dealer says they wont do all of them at once and i dont feel like having different shades of gunmetal, gonna let this one slide and powder coat them a shade or 2 darker than stock with more clear coat, its not that expensive and worth while in the future imo.

 

the day i drove off the lot this happend, i took it back and they replaced all 4 wheels/tires within 2 hours... its nice to know people
