to stripe or not to stripe?

okay so ive been back and forth about getting some racing stripes put on the cobalt. if i did, it would be vinyl first (to make sure i like them) then get them painted on this summer.

This is my car as it is now. Imperial Blue Metallic

Here's examples of how my stripes would look. using forza 4
Option 1:I'd go with silver stripes from bumper to bumper 8-10" wide

Here is option 2: same as option 1, just with 1/4" pinstriping on the outsides

Just looking for some feedback (good or bad). thanks guys (and gals)

My main dislike is that they dont go from bumperto bumper..they stop about 2 or 3 inches from the end of the hood and in the middle of the trunk. If they were full lenght like your options here I would probably like them.

Old pic from like the first day I got it, alot has changed. They just look half assed to me but the paint is much bighter under it so I wont take them off.

Yeah, i know its more of a chevy thing to have the stripes go from hood to trunk (camaro's, nova's, chevelle's) and a mustang style to have it go from bumper to bumper.

the good thing with vinyl is that its removable, the bad thing is after awhile your paint gets sunfaded and once you remove the vinyl, the spots where the stripes were are noticeable.

Yah thats how chevy has always done there stripes. personally thats how i like them. to me the others look like someone took a paint roller and went right over the car.

IMO though. you car would be too busy with the lip kit and the stripes. i would stock with what you have, i would buy some lowering springs.

I like it more with the pinstripe. I'd personally go with the GM style though (like David6312008 has, but not on the roof)
