Striped Interior Finished
Striped Interior Finished
I talked about it a lil while about finally painting the interior. and well the damage was done. here is the step by step that i took along the painstaking road to get the striped interior done!
here were the products that i used.
Krylon primer, yellow, black, and satin finish...

Step One
Sanding down everthing then applying the first stage of primer. (used 3 coats for definate coating.

Step Two
Letting it dry between coats... and im sure enough of us cannot put this in an easier term than PATIENCE is key... let it dry.. read the spray can and add 5 minutes.
Step Three
Adding the first of 3 coats of yellow... yet again letting dry enough in between.

Step Four
I took a sheet of paper... went out to the car and measured the distances between the stripes and drew a template. Layed the template. traced the lines, and then taped off.
Step Five
Painted first of 3 coats of black where stripes would fall in the interior.

Step Six
SLOWLY removing the taped areas that protected the yellow faced areas.

Step Seven
Putting everything back in the car... the one area that your always more nervous about... but take your time remember you must go from cd player OUTWARDS.

Step Eight
Enjoying time well spent.

eh, definitely awesome job, i give you an A++. I have never seen that before, so in my book, very creative. just not "my" taste. i would have left it a solid color, and painted the door trim as well. BUT looks good bro, gj.
