Question Suggestions for further customization???

Hey all.

Figured I'd post some pics of my engine bay/grill customization so far and see what everyone thinks. Obviously I'm sticking with the silver/blue theme on my SS/SC...I was just wondering if anyone had suggestions for additional customizing?

Suggestions anyone?

my suggestion is less is more. What you have looks nice. When people start painting things they start painting everything ! Every last line and extra piece of molding does not need to be painted damn it ! Sorry I started to rant good choice of blue with the silver.

I do not have any suggestions, but I wanted to say that I like the blue & silver theme. I like the grille, it is different & looks good!

you could always add the 2.4 bottom grill and paint that blue as well

Aside from the blue rubber boot from my K&N to my TB, I don't think I want to add anymore color to the bay. I agree with 1st...too much just doesn't look right. I think the blue boot will be just the right amount of balance yet.

Not a bad idea on the bottom grill...I was planning on installing one anyway.

The only other thing I'm considering is polishing up some of the cast metal parts to add more shine.

Am I on the right track? Not too much?

Looks clean, you did a good job, but I personally don't like either color together. Nothing personal.

None taken!

To each their own, right?

What kind of paint did you use"? And how did you apply it? Someone ripped off my crome Chevy Peice. I was thinking of just painting the whole thing red

On the Ingalls bracket and the spark plug cover plate, I used DupliColor Metallic. For the other parts, I used Krylon Fusion. Whatever you do...make sure you THOROUGHLY clean the parts before painting.

I ended up using Purell hand sanitizer to clean the parts. It did a great job on removing the oils, and since it is alcohol based, it came off easy under hot water.

Nice, maybe you could considder some blue SS style stripes, like the ones Cobalt-addiction has as a kit. Did you paint the Grill yourself?

Simple touches, just enought to catch peoples eyes, but not enough to blind em wit crazy rainbow type colors. Looks good as is. If you were to change anythin, a lil less blue or leave it. You wanna paint some more stuff, look underneath the car where if someone were doin a 5mph drivebye or somethin they could see the detail. i.e....I painted the framerails on my Tblazer, because everyone can see em, and most of em look nasty. Little things, jus keep it clean man

LMAO!!! If I WANTED it black, I'd have left it ALONE!

I've considered the door handles and the fuel door...but still up in the air on that. As for the lights, I'm waiting on the Xtreme light cover (film) with the bluish tint. I'll try that out to see how it looks. I have considered blue accents in the light housing itself...just not sure yet.

The blue is a little brighter than I wanted...but not much of a choice with Krylon Fusion. As for where you can get it...you're better off price-wise going to WalMart, K-Mart, etc.

Thanks all for your feedback. I'll post again once the bottom grill, graphics and interior lighting is done!

You could paint the front and/or rear bowtie blue. I've also seen window tint before that has a blueish to silverish fade that might look cool.
