Summer 18's and Winter 16's or All Season 17's..??

Exactly as said..

I have a 2.4 and I upgraded from my 17's to 18's last year. I have since replace the former Enkei 18's with some s/c 18's.. I have realized why they say Rossos are a summer tire, and I have decided to at least get a set of solid winter wheels/tires for next season. But, I have also considered just going back to 17's and running all-seasons.. It'd be a set of IRL wheels or a set of Saab-BBS ones..

Fire away..

When I was stationed in Wyoming I had separate sets. I actually still have my 16" steelies with snows on them

Check out tirerack though they sell the steelie/snowtire combos for pretty cheap.

Having two sets is just easier, no need to make a compromise on the tire. That way you can get a good set of real snow tires for the winter and a good set of summer tires, without having to get all seasons which to me are just crap.

The all season tires aren't that great anyways. I was going to go that route too until i looked at the snow ratings on tire rack. They weren't that impressive. I have a set of 16" rims that I use for my snow tires and auto x tires it works out great, and like it has been said you do not have to compromise on either set of tires.

The set of 16's I'm getting is a set of Saab-BBS 16's.. I'm getting them sand-blasted and powder-coated low-gloss black and getting BBS center caps for them.. lol. They'll look real descent..
