Sunburst Caliper

A buddy of mine is looking to paint his calipers. Trouble is he has the sunburst orange color, and no caliper paint seems to compliment this color. Black is a little too subtle. Maybe white, a deep green, or probably a nice blue would be good I think. Has anyone with the sunburst color painted theirs? What do you guys think? Thanks!

I think painting them to match the color of his car would be best.

Trouble is, there seem to be no kits with that color, plus it'd be hard to custom match I bet. I'm sure he'll keep looking into it though...

Yea that is true, the sunburst orange is hard to match. If he really wanted them to match, though, he could take it to a body shop or performance shop of some sort to get an exact match. Good luck and let us know how they come out.

It's actually not hard AT ALL to match that kind of paint color. I actually am painting my motorcycle and wanted to match it to the color of my ss/sc. Arrival Blue Metallic. I went to the local Autobody supply and motorcycle supply shop, called MGM. And they looked at the paint code on my sticker by my spare tire, and had it mixed in about 15 min. Only cost about 20 bucks for a pint.

I'd definitely have it matched... white sounds maybe decent... but blue or green?

that works expect most places dont mix high temp paints... which is what you need for calipers

The place I brought mine to were able to get me an exact match on the paint color and it was high temperature paint as well. It might just be hit or miss with some of these places.

I also have the sunburst orange color on my car. I had a bodyshop repaint a section of my rear bumper that got hit by one of my gfs friends and they have some left over. The guy said he would do the calipers for me for like 20 bucks.
