you'll have to cut slots in the bumper so the tabs from the lip will fit.

It will fit.. It is just a big pain in the ass. Make sure you line it up properly and pencil in where the slots need to be placed. Do this by measuring where the end of the tabs when it lines up and then subtract the length of the tabs.

If you are going to cut the holes in your cars facia to get the lip to mount up, take the facia off the car. It's much easier to work on it that way and you will get a better result.

i just installed mine dont have a pic yet ill try to get on up

but what i did wat cut all the tabs on the top off.......
then i just used the 4 puch tabs and the 4 tabs to secure the bottom
im now going to be using double sided tape to hold the lip to the bumper......
i found this to be alot easier then trying to cut holes in the bumer....

could be a problem if you dont get things lined up correctly

+1 for triple posts! your idea sounds good in theory but i don't think the added stress on the tabs/etc. underneath would be a good thing.

My plan is take a string and run it flush along the inside fo the lip right on top of the tabs. Mark with a marker where the tabs are. Then just line the string up on the bumper and make the slits.

edit-ps measure twice cut once

You are a Genius. I was just going to suggest this. Everyone else is retarded for slotting their bumper. Just cut the tabs and sticky tape that **** down!

Theres not enuff contact area on the lip to really use double sided tape long term . Trust me , lol . I hit a racoon and it blasted off my lower lip and broke off most of the tabs . Im using double tape now until I can afford to fix the front . The only portion of the lip that actually makes contact with the bumper cover is the tiny lip that rides above tabs , with that little contact the most Ive been able to make it stick is a couple months , then I have to re-do it again . And thats cleaning both surfaces with alcohol , laying the tape on the bumper cover , then using a heat gun when installing the lip . The lip is designed to sit flush on the bumper , the 3m tape leaves and un-sightly gap . The gap isnt huge at all , but sit it next to a SS/SC the way its supposed to be and its really noticable .

Do what ya want , but I would install it correctly with the tabs and clips . It will look better 10 fold and you wont have to worry about the tape losing its adhesion .

A buddy of mine owns a bodyshop and he said that he knows a way to do it without cutting the bumper or using 2 sided tape, he has something in mind i just hope it works.

I would have no piece of mind putting one on with tape. I would always feel like i'm one big bump away from chewing up a lip that prolly cost $300. Plus if you scrape it much not sure how well that tape will hold up.

only reason i decided to do it ths way is because the slots that you have to cut......if you happen to get a stress crack where you cut your bumper then that whole part of your bumper could rip off........

and on top of the double sided tape im going to run a bead of clear silicone adhesive across the top of the lip to cover the double sided tape along with making it stronger.....

my car is white (just so you dont think that im putting clear silcone on a black car)

My employee cost for this lip is $235 Canadian, I work at a dealership, and that doesn't include all the mounting hardware or paint.

I figure it would be close to $400 by the time I got it on the car. I think I'm gonna do it but still not sure. I still have to find out how much to paint the piece.
