Switching over to SS gauges

Whats involved with switching out the stock gauges for a cluster out of the SS? would you just plug them in or would you have to tune the computer for them? thanks

no tune needed...plug and play. Make sure the gauges are from the same year Cobalt as yours, thats all! Its an easy install too!

Haha, I can imagine someone getting pulled over.

"Do you know how fast you were going?"

"umm...75?"

"YOU WERE GOING 105!!"

Yeah in my cavalier I had the cluster without the tachometer, and I found one with a tach out of a Z24 and swapped it over with no problems...

I heard that 05-06 and 07-09 speedometers can be interchanged. Is this true?

i have an 07 cobalt SS .. but its not the ss/sc. its the auto trans ss... so it has the white green ish gauge cluster, and i would love swapping it out with the red and black ss/sc 160mph speedometer and gauge cluster..

where could i find that to buy? and would my speedometer be fucked up like that guy said? reading 75 and going 105 haha? that would be rather lame.

thanks
