I got this in the super platinum white and i love the way they work. They were $40 bucks from www.autoglitz.com and they have a 1 year warranty. Much brighter than the stock ones and they look great. Here's more info on them http://www.haloautomotive.com/

But yeah... better than the Best Buy xenons.

On another note... there is nothing in my manual about the fog lamps. Anyone know what the stock fog lamps take? My old grand prix took 880s... but I didn't know if these were H3s or not. Plus... how do you get to them? I'm thinking after you take the headlamp assembly out, you can reach down to the fogs. Anyone messed with them yet?
Our fogs use H11's. They're a bitch to find...

bulbs are the way to go ive had mine for months and they are much better then stock and dont blind people like hid. Ive even had people say "You got the Hid kit in that."

Modern Performance and many others sell these at very resonable prices and there is no need for a wireing harness the stock one is fine.

I'm going to have to throw out another vote for the street glow bulbs, i got so many compliments even from the local cops on how great they looked. I think they're 17 bones now and if you would like i can send ya link w/ pics of them on my Grand Prix.

Edit: Here's the link, i was bored and thought i would go ahead and post it anyway. I never did update those pics to the latest mods on that baby. Anyway, bottom of page two. (The pic doesn't do it justice) The lights in life actually are as blue as an 8000K HID kit if not maybe a little more blue.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/567897/2

everybody should look at the philips nighthawk bulbs, i got them for my parents and all my friends have them on their cars, they are much cheaper than silver stars, they have no blue tint to them but they still have plenty of light out put, actualy they are rated at a higher light output than silverstars. I myself have silverstars that are over a year old, they used to be in my escort and i kept them when i got ridd of the car cause i found out that cobalt's have the same headlight. They are still going strong.

I wonder how Vision Bulbs "Xeno Match" headlights are. Has anyone tried them yet?

They claim to use OEM wattage and carry a lifetime warranty.

Good deal

I like my silverstars, never had a problem! They are a nice crisp white. They are also cheap compared to others like piaa, hella. I got a pair at pep boys for like 25 dollars, down from 40. Right now pep boys gives you 10 off per pair ,and syvania gives you another 5. Not too bad.

I've used the Xenon bulbs and they used to only last me 6 months. And sometimes only 3 months. I could afford 35 bucks every 3- 6 months. For that i would pay the 80 bucks for the PIAA bulbs or the Halo bulbs that i got that were 40 bucks.

I swear by the PIAA bulbs. They have the H11 too so thats a plus in my book. I need extra light when night driving as I have issues seeing, especially when wet. Also the Xenon bulbs look nice, but they are over rated for the harness and though that doesn't seem to be an issue they aren't street legal as far as i know. Just some food for thought.

edit: also i had my PIAA H4's in my civic for almost 2 years with lots of night driving so really its hit or miss in terms of life span.

If you guys want the bluest headlights...then check out www.automotivelightingusa.com and check out thier 9007 Luministic Pure Blue halogen headlights...they are an a knock off of the 6000K HIDs....i have them installed on my Balt and let me tell you, AMAZINGLY BLUE!!!!!!!!

Also I paid with PayPal and from the time I ordered it to the time it arrived at my door was exactly 2 days!!!!

If you guys want pics, i can try and get them up as soon as it gets dark

YES... you can say that again....

ALSO... I could care less about how BLUE a headlight is... yes, it looks cool, but if it's not functional... then it's useless and dangerous.

Dano... yours are a great example... looks great, but from riding in yours, and from your own account, they aren't bright compared to other bulbs, and they don't project.

I am so/so satisfied with the Silverstars. THey project ok... but they seem to point low... also these ones aren't as purple-blue like my silverstars were in my Silverado.

Not to sound like a jerk to all that have them for how nice they look... to each their own..

I am for the "function before fashion" mentality.

You're absolutely right Brian... Silverstars were better than the ones I have now (MTEC Cosmos from AutomotiveLightingUSA.com). These look good from the outside, but are kinda weak as far as functionality goes. But Silverstars weren't even bright enough for me.... so I guess I'm picky.

I'm still on the lookout for a better bulb. HIDs are tempting, but too much hassle (and money).

Yeah, I'm looking into PIAA's. They have a wide spectrum of bulbs as far as brightness and applications. They have alot that the say are HID look without the expense and hassle.

I think I have a chart around here with the different K values and clolor spectrum.

I'm picky as well. If I wanted to go thru the hassle I'd just go HID. Or buy a car that already had em... ( STI... EVO ...lol )

Money is worth it if I can see better at night. Most of my driving is in the dark..

I hear that PIAAs are really good... they're just expensive.

Yeah... HIDs are worth the money... but you lose high/low beam functionality in our cars with most HID kits that I've seen. I dont' really like the idea of having just one setting and possibly blinding all oncoming traffic. That's really all I mean about the hassle.

Be careful with the K value. Temperature of the light only gives you the color... not the brightness. It still matters (higher is more towards what appears white... so you want a higher temp). But it's not necessarily going to be brighter with just a higher temperature. A lot of people get tricked into buying these crappy bulbs that emit that temperature of light, but not as bright as they think. I bought mine knowing the temperature would give me a blue glow, but also knowing that risk... and look how they turned out...

Silverstars - 4000K
My current bulbs - 4750K

I guess I'm just saying make sure they're bright too.
