Im not crazy about the red tail lights. I have a black car and Id like my tail lights to be "smoked" I dont want covers, Im just curious if there is a way to make them darker *blackish*???

Are they still visible during the day time? how much are they darkened out? I dont want to be rear ended by someone because you cant see the brake lights glowing

thats my car. i did the nite shades and it turned out really good. it has some with the lights on and the brakes and no brakes.

Thanks man! Ya you can see it during the day just fine. I bought 2 bottles for 15 bucks from "Modern preformance". I only used one can for all the lights.

 

check my sig man. it the official headlight and tailight thread. i got 2 pics of black balts with the covers and then with the VHT.

 

Nightshades is cheap b.s. The best thing to do is to take them to a body shop and have them mix black basecoat into the clear coat. Then you will have glossy smoked lamps. We do that all the time at my shop and they come out looking great. Not flat like nightshades.

 

The only reason that the Niteshade stuff comes out flat is cuz fools don't do it right (or they like the flat look). Mine are glossy, people ask if they are covers all the time. If you take the time to do something the RIGHT way it comes out nice.

Not to brag too much but, I bet my tail lights look just as good as the ones you guys do at the shop.

 

^^x2 ...you are not supposed to throw dirt on them while thy are still wet.

 

mine are flat now b/c i havent finished them! the last set i did we made super shiny just havent finished mine
