Maybe someone is already making this, but if not.. Why not have a trunk lid with oversized reverse lights that are the same size as the actualy break/turn lights. They could even be made so the outside red circle actually works..

I third the motion. But isn't there a way to make the light work without getting different oversized lights? Maybe there's someone out there brave enough to try it.

 

Well - with getting the light to work, a lot of guys have done LCD kits and things like that, you can read about them in the how to's, I know another guy was thinking about using HHR brake lights in place of his reverse lights as they are the same size.

I mean, the way I look at it - it should be pushed towards that 'Vette envelope. Could be even easy to wire.. I mean unless 3rd brakes are somehow mandatory, you could just use the 3rd brake lines to power the lights.
