Thoughts on plastidip idea?

Thinking about going with something like this for my next big project.
Would use the dipyourcar gunmetal gray + 2 black tint bottles and then 2-3 coats of glossifier.

Thoughts? Different color for body maybe?

Teal wheels

Blue wheels

Yellow/Green wheels

Your car is white, leave it that way.

Is that racist?

Haha you guys all stink. Here's the issue.. I've got some big ole black painted stripes on the hood and trunk.
I dipped over them with the spray can plastidip for the time being and it looks mediocre.

Think I should just get the spray gun and do it white the right way then?

It's so thin even out of the gallon I bet it would take a lot to cover black with white, the gray covers great tho

White the best and one of the more rare colors! don't cover it! and if you do be warned. GUNMETAL PLASTIDIP LOOKS LIKE ****!!! I think we all remember the Unmolested Gunmetal cobalt for sale thread.

Literally looks worse than primer. They make a newer gray check the dipyourcar forums before you buy anything, and if you have the money buy 4 cans for the wheels in a few different colors, switch it up every month till you find something you like.

Guy in my town has a White 240 sr20 with red plastidipped gloss wheels LOOKS BOSS!

lol yes I'd agree. I'm dying to change the color of my car to white and here you are saying you're going to plastidip your white car with the ugliest color of dip available? -_-

If I had the money I would repaint the whole car. It needs it.
That's another reason I wanted to go with the plastidip..

I have two big cracks on my drivers side the appeared after I bought the car.
I've come to the conclusion that it was sideswiped and repaired very poorly.
Didn't show up on the vehicle history report.
Clear coat is peeling or gone in multiple spots as well.

Here's the cracks. Penny for size reference.

It did take quite a bit to cover. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 6-7 coats.
Didn't turn out terribly but you can still see the stripes a bit.

Those look like vinyl stripes. Couldn't you have just peeled them off?

That's the standard gunmetal color. This is what my end result would be. (hopefully)

The main thing to think about is it's your car to do with whatever you want, but the teal wheels look good.

I'm seeing a lot of love for the teal wheels which was my first idea anyways so something like that is definitely going to happen.

I mainly just wanted some more opinions on the colors and if they looked good together.
