Hey all! Kinda newer here, and I would like to ask for some opinions before I do this. I am getting my windows tinted tomorrow (3/14) and I was wondering what percentage I should do. Im stuck between 15% or 5%. I've had 5% before, and driving with it at night doesnt bother me. The only thing is, I dont want to attract more cop attention, because I also have a Magnaflow exhaust. Anywho, this is a picture of my car, just so it helps (crappy cell phone pic ftw!)

 

If you are afraid of cops then stick with 15. You will be more than happy.

I don't miss getting pulled over for that bullshit.

 

I just dont want useless tickets. I had 20% on my Grand Am GT when I had it, and I always thought it was plenty dark, just not "dark enough" if that makes sense? Haha.

 

Yeah I know what you mean. I got 3 tickets with 5%.

I now have 20% and have never been pulled over. More than happy with it.

 

I have 20% here in WI where the law is 45%. never been pulled over. 15% is pretty much perfect.

 

i did 20% u have to take in the account of the color of the interior makes it look like it was 15% at night like Smithkid21 said its dark but not dark enough

i agree with micro, 15% on sides and I did 35% on the windshield great combo.

 

I have 20 and i wish it were a tad darker but I'm happy with it. 5 is way too dark for me

 

15% on a white car makes it look illegal as hell. I have been stopped twice and never gotten a ticket

Also if you have leather its going to make it look darker

 

I have 15% all around and 5% on the eyebrow only thing I've been pulled over for is my hids. still kinda wish I got 5% on everything but I still like it a lot.

 

Yea, I got the Recaro racing seats, and the interior is darker. I'm thinking I'll probably go with 15% just to be safe, with a 5% strip, because once you have that sun-strip, you cant live without it, hahaha.

 

I have 15% front and 3% in the back.And a 3% eyebrow. I've never gotten a ticket. I love the look.

 

ask them the actual percentage not the nominal. if they know the answer then its quality tint so go with 15 if not then go with 5 so it will be 15 after a few months

 

Well I've gone through this place before. They use top of the line film for their tint. And back it up with a lifetime warranty against fading, cracking, peeling, purpling, bubbling, tearing, etc. I love their work. I'm probably going wtih 15% percent with the 5% sunstrip.
