To tint my inner tails and 3rd brake light or not?

that is the question lol every since i got my cf trunk on ive been looking at the inner tail lights and 3rd brake light and thinking if it would look good to tint those and leave the outers red what do you guys think and anybody have pics of this done? if i do them i wanna leave the backup part clear not all black

id do it keep the outter ones with the red to match the paint and the innerones tinted to match the carbon fiber better. Go for it!

thank you! and yea i used nightshades on my cavalier and it worked good but i was prob gonna do that black vinyl overlay stuff made for tailights that way if i dont like it i can just rip it off later

no niteshades gives you some shitty light output. but if its just the 3rd brake light and reverse lights it doesnt really matter.

well heres the thing.. the nighshades no matter how you do it isnt going to match the carbon fiber.. it could get close depending on the shade you tint them, but they might stick out if the shades of black between the tails n the cf are off (call me picky but just my .02)

well i mean yea its going to effect light output, but technically the black paint will let less light through than the nightshades will.. it all depends on darkness though...

i personally only have 2 coats of nightshades on mine n they are easily see-through

i say either do them all tinted or leave them the way you got them.. doing half of them seems unfinished for some reason

well i wanted to do just the trunk so theyd match better and be diff unlike most people on here who copycat each other thank god i havent fallen to any of the "trends" yet

wrap the inner tails in carbon fiber so it blends with the trunk and leave only the reverse cut out.
do it you wonnttt
