I've had mine tinted for 2 years in June and they are flawless...I make sure that nothing touches the tint...I am **** about it...personally, I would spend money to fix anything, but that's just me. Actually, I'm very cheap when it comes to things...I try to find things at the best price, in this case, I just don't want to spend more money to have anything re-tinted since I spent the money in the first place to get it done (that's why I'm **** about it)...but again, if it were my car, I would spend money to have it fixed.

When I got tint done on my civic, I got it done by a place that I knew the owner. That way if it was messed up I could get it redone. Sure enough, had bubbles all in it. Got it redone at no cost.

If i payed for it, Id want it to be done right.

There "should" be a 90day - 1year warranty on craftsmanship/installation if you got it done somewhere reputable.

Lifetime warranty on my tint as well. The shop unfortunately is under new ownership and the new owner sucks (along with his employees...all the good employees quit or were let go)...The previous owner is still doing tint out of his own garage though. One of the best in MN as far as I'm concerned.

Yes it can be tinted and made to look good, not always a 100% but good enough that you would not notice anything at all unless you walked up and eyefucked it. I tint them all the time and have no problems...

As for the guy who started this thread, if it looks bad, take it back to the tinter and see wht they think. If it is a good business, they will take care of it...

Well, it sounds like you might be being to picky, but you might want to go to a different REPUTABLE tint person and ask their opinion. If they tell you it's normal then it's you, if they tell you it's a crappy install, then it's the shop, but make sure you don't tell the person where you got it done, until after they give you their opinion, just incase they are buddy, buddy with the other installer.

some reputable places wont give you the warranty if you go with a illegal tint. Just keep that in mind. I went with 13% on my last car since it was illegal (in FL) they would not cover it.
It was the same tint shop cops went to tint police cars. They have pretty good rep. (best in the area). Wish i had pics to show you guys. I had a shiity cam phone back then. :/

Yeah, my tinting place would only do cash only if I wanted anything illegal. He might've also not given me a warranty, since that would be a papertrail.

He's been in the business for quite some time, so I can understand why it's not in his best interest.

What is in his best interest though are the people that have it (illegal tint darkness) redone every year because they have it taken off for inspection and then redone after the inspection... Lots of "return business" that way. haha

that sucks here in FL we have no car inspections.. only thing you got to worry about is bored cops. I got a ticket ($75) for tint 2 weeks after getting the 13% tint :/. He pulled me over just for the tint!

I was puling out of a gas station right as he was pulling in and he made a U-turn at the gas station then tailgated me super close for half a mile then pulled me over well I was doing the speed limit.
