Tint question

I am thinking about getting about 10 % tint done on my black 06 ss/sc. I was looking around the window areas and there are a tone of heat strip things. Has anybody who put tint on theres had any problems w/ bubbling from the heat strips? I put it on my mustang and got bubbling in the rear window and the heat strips are nowhere near as much as the ones on the cobalt. It was professionaly done also...

Getting my tint done on Friday by a very reputable shop. I asked how they typically handle the dot matrix (whether they just put vinyl over it) and they said no they tint over it. The person who booked my appointment said they have a process that makes it not a big deal. I'll take some pics when it's done an upload them. I have to go 50 on the sides and 35 on the rears and back though, cops are enforcing our tint laws pretty hard every summer.

I just got my windows tinted this week and they said they couldn't tint over the dots but they would "paint" over them....?

The place that did mine went over the dots and it's been a year with no peeling problems

What's a good shade to get for a black ss/sc.

I Just want it dark enough so it doesn't look stupid.

Think 35% would be fine? Or would darker in one area and lighter in another look good? I don't really know much about tinting.

I have 20% on sides and rear window. Looks pretty good. I had mine done professionally, the tint didn't stick to the dots around the r/v mirror, made a design thou, looks kinda cool.

I have 5% all the way around on my black SS/SC, And a 5% eyebrow on the front window. The tint shop that did mine is apparently a lot better than some of the ones talked about on here. They used glue stripes on the dots to insure that the tint doesn't peel or bubble.
