Tint Question

I was thinking of getting the windows tinted on my 2007 G5 that I'm currently leasing but , the other day I was looking at some paper the dealer gave me when I picked up the car with a list of mods I can't do to the car like : touch the suspension, paint the car a different colour, put grafix on the car, modify the engine etc.... and it also said that I coundn't get the windows tinted !!! Are they serious ??? Did any of you guys tint your windows on a leased car ??? If I tint them anyways, will they make me pay a penalty when I return the car at the end of my lease ?

I have a lease and I tinted it, but I am buying it out at the end. The lease was just the best way to make the smallest payments with no money down. As for you, if you get them tinted and bring it in for work, they are probably gonna give you a really hard time. But, since you can peel the tint off when it's time to return it, you can prob still get it. Just depends on how much you bring your car in and how your dealer is.

I don't remember the exact thread on here but there was one guy who spoke about a DIY tint kit that was installed with soap and water and removed in 2 minutes. This way you could install it, and if you need to bring it for work you take it off real quick and then re-install

We do alot of tint on our new vehicles here. Just tell them that they were already tinted when you bought it.

Smoke, if the contract explicitly says that you cannot tint the windows, I doubt they would believe that the windows were tinted when he got it

i wouldn't waste your money on a car that you know for a fact that you're giving back, especially when it specifically says you're not allowed to tint it.

they honestly dont give a **** lol...ive seen ppl get away with major body damage on their GMAC lease returns and completely wrecked interiors....i wouldnt really worry about it...i buy a lot of off lease cars for my used car dept at work and ive had several come in with tints, body damage and other things not charged for...
