Okay I'm finally tired of people looking in my car! I've never had to get tint done on a car (they always came with it) so where do I go to get this done? If you have tint on your SS and could post pictures, that would be great, also if you could tell me how much you spent so I can get a general idea that would be even greater.

 

20% on the driver and passenger.. and 5% on the back and sides.. costs me 180$ at a local tint place.. they also put black vinly on the inside of the back window to cover the dots.. cant see out that part but it looks good..

 

Your Black SS is sharp. mine looks good when it's clean.

i just started to notice little rock chips in the paint when i was washing it the other day but nohting you can do about that..

 

The RX8s have a clear plastic bra on some of them. My dad use to have it on his 8 and it helped keeping all of those rock from chipping his paint. It also made it a hell of alot easier cleaning those bugs off of it! I'm not sure if they make clear bras for the Cobalts or if its just a Mazda thing..just an idea

Did your tint shop put vinyl on the dots because the tint wouldn't stick? I'm having trouble with my tint in that area right now. I payed $140 for mine and the tint shop didn't mention anything about the tint not sticking there.

 

There is a company that makes clear adhesive type bras for just about every make&model. I'll try finding the website. As for tint, you can buy it precut off of ebay in any %- I done my truck about a year ago and it only cost $36. The tint is holding up fine and I have those dots on my back glass also.

 

I just got my tint done yesterday. If its not nasty out today I will take some pics. I think it looks really good from the outside, and I can see very well out from the inside.
