i think its a pain to plot tint. i even have xpel software. but i dont miss being gumby in the backseat of some car. heat shrinking sure made a big impact in tinting didnt it? I remember teh good old days of splicing. IMHO, madico is one of the best long lasting tints there are. metallized of coarse.

one of the cars i hated the most was a 70's-80's vette (whatever years the were) with the long sloping back window that didnt open up. i was so glad when gm finally made them hatch open.
Maddi's got some good tint no doubt, i'm not a big fan of metalized tint though, don't like the shiny look. I would imagine they have a colorstable nonmetal film like most manufacturers.

I usually don't use any glue or anything for the matrix, just prep the hell out of it, then tint as usual, i have gotten to where i can almost always make a cobalt look perfect. I tint them for a local dealer so we have to make em look good, can't sell a new car with crappy white looking dots, by the way i fuggin hate dots and corvettes,

your thinking of ns and other lines of metallized madico. my car has madico onyx on it. very nice shade of black. my mom has a 1986 chevy truck i tinted when she got it new with madico, the back window is just starting to turn purple. the sides are fine.

Well for me, i have used some HP films from a few different companies and they all tended to have a shiny look, never used the madico film so i can't say, but that cobalt looks nice. I am pretty into the suntek carbon series, it is a dyed 2 mill film, it shrinks great, and looks black. I've put it on thousands of vehicles over the last three years and i have not had any turn purple yet. But i live in a mild climate, idk how it would hold up in Texas or AZ, but good for WV. I also don't like the thought of metal in the film for interference reasons, alot cars now have GPS/ NAV also all cars will soon have Tire pressure monitoring systems that use radio frequencies to transmit the signal from the TPMS sensors to the module inside the car. I don't know if metallized film actually will affect these things but just a thought. I am not for or against metallized film, just saying...
