Now i want to tint my taillights but i do not know where to get the tint from. Nightshadez i think its called. also anyone know the laws in NH if we can did the tailights or not? Also if i do and get a ticket do i have to buy new taillights or can i somehow take the tint off? thanks a bunch!

I can answer one of your questions... Modern Performance sells Nite Shades spray tint:

http://www.modernperformance.com/all...des_tint.shtml

They got me my K&N CAI and DC Sports strut tower brace in about 4 days.

Well... my budy put tinted covers over his headlights on his explore sport and he could not see **** at night so he took them off....I would imagine you wouyld get the same effect...also most states require that you have a certian amout of reflection on the back of you car and this is why tail lights are red.

Sure.... you can spray tint the tail lights.... but then you run the risk of someone hitting you b/c they can't see the lights on a rainy/foggy night. I personally like my lights to be as bright as possible for safety's sake.

it really depends on how many coats you put on the tails as to how dim they get

and the headlights your better using a cover you can take off at night

unless you go really lightly , best would be to pull the headlights apart and paint over the chrome parts , like several people have , in the areas not needed by the lights

my friends 03 cav has the tails done , it looks alot better (yellow painted cav) , he did get pulled over for them , but didnt get a ticket for it , cause the cop nailed him for non-CARB APPROVED parts

i did mine with a tint similar to niteshadz...

https://www.cobaltss.net/gallery/sho...=3&userid=1845

i wouldn't do the headlights... just paint the housings, similar effect, 0 loss in lighting.

theres some night pics in there too. You can still get reflection out of it, so dont worry about getting pulled over too much unless you're driving like an ass.

how about u get the taillights painted to the car color. and leave the red brake light circle and the back up light unpainted? that might look nice on the sedan. If i had a photoshop program i would do it to see what it looks like.

It'd be HIGHLY illegal to tint headlights, and depending on how much it affects the light output on the tail lights it may be illegal as well. Personally I think tinted taillights SHOULD be illegal, I've almost rear ended numerous ******** with them because you simply cannot see the lights. Also if someone hits you from behind and they test the light output of your lights and it falls below the standards, you're at fault for the accident even though the other person hit you. My buddy hit a guy because he couldn't see the tails, the guy was at fault and cited for something like "equipment below DOT standard".

Well i do not plan on making them pitch black. Maybe a coat or 2 of it so there not so bright of a red when im not braking. Im going for the sleeper all black look. Just finshed cleaning the rear end and those stupid door thingys. Tailights are next then painting my headlights.
