Pic or mock-up of sedan version please?
I understand its hard to keep up with a thread that grows a couple pages each day, but I always update the first post. I said in that post that we had a go on making the Sedan trunk and no one everyone replied back. Either way its not too late, we can still go through the process of getting these ones in first and then work on the sedan eventually.

I am not sure if the original was metal or not, but the one CSS.net user that had that trunk made his out out or sheet metal or something. Which was causing problems with the rear quarter panels getting scratched up.

And also means that they didn't have to worry about trying to get it out of a mold without destroying the mold. There was none.

That picture looks pretty good.

Exactly. Nothing compares two real sheet metal work. Composites need build for strength in some aspects unless using honeycomb carbon or foam core which no one on here except a select few would ever pay for. Their are some flaws with the original but nothing noticeable to the average eye

I totally agree. But at the end of the day. We can't sell items that have any flaws in them, especially flaws where it could cause damage to the rear quarter panel or cause problems in the future. We understand that nothing is ever perfect, we know that all to well. But, in order to prevent problems that have already come up different designs sometimes have to be implemented in to the original design. Either way can't wait till we get these back and completed!

PLEASE make sure that when you "slam" the trunk shut, it doesn't scratch/scrape/damage the trunk or the rear body panels upon closing, my concern may be the overhang of the spoiler, i doubt its a problem but please check it. Sometimes that rear trunk gets shut hard

It isn't a problem opening and closing the trunk. I recommend buying a shortie antenna though.

Fair enough. I have no problem waiting (paying down a CC and doing a little house-hunting), so count me as interested!

As far as a donor trunk...I'm not really close enough to your area to toss mine, but maybe a junkyard? Someone has to have wrecked some sedans by now, and I don't think there was anything different about the SS ones...

I could be (and often am) totally wrong though.

I'd hate to have a cop actually notice that you have no backup lights. the tow bill plus the tickets and impound fee would be pretty steep!!! lol

Lol ya but I find that cobalts attract more attention than cavy's plus if a cop want to be a dick you was just pissed at the world that day, that's illegal safety equipment. Lol but back on topic. Any more pics of the trunk?

No cop around here would impound your car over that. Plus, you could wire up a couple of those license plate bolts with lights in them. That would be legal.
