Trunk Chevy Bow tie

Quick question about the rear bow tie, can it be easily removed? I think the rear would look much better without it. Hoping I can just use a heat gun and get it off and it's not bolted on.

Thanks in advance!

Its glue as far as I know, don't get the dealership to do it.. they scratched the **** out of my car.

I regret telling them I was going to do it myself when I brought my car in for maintenance!!

All of the emblems except for the grille's bow tie are put on using adhesive. The bow tie in the grille has two retainers that need to be pulled using a 10mm wrench or socket.

i used fishing line to pull mine off, then used my finger nail to take the rest of the stuff off, then a microfiber to get the residue off then a little wax after to clean it all up, no scratches or anything

Hairdryer works wonders. As for removing the residue.......i actually used WD-40 lol as it wont harm the clearcoat......not that goo gone would either. Whichever is available really
