Trunk Lock

I cannot seem to get my trunk lock working, as I had to switch trunks. I have it in place, but I cannot figure out how to put the little piece of metal that connects the lock to the actual latch. Any pics would be appreciated

Anyone able to help? Cannot put the trunk on without getting the lock working.

i messed around with it. if you look inside the trunk the piece i believe goes from right to left.
i took my lock out painted it and it was in but i could pull it out a tad. few months later messed with it and it finally went back in place.

blurry because obv its dark but hope this helps

Thanks for the pics man, I was trying to find the actual "lever" that goes between the lock and the black latch that is bolted into the trunk. It connects the 2 so that when I turn the key, it turns the whole thing
