trying to wire up these hids...

trying to wire up these hids...

ok im sitting here right now trying to wire up these hids and get them going for my third generation projectors.

i opened the hid box and i have the two bulbs and wiring harneses plus the two controller boxes. how do these get power? through my old hookups?i have an h1 kit...i have seen others that use relay boxes and i dont have that so im confused right now

The ballast gets power from the wires that are originally powering your bulbs. So you should have one wire that has a plug that fits into the ballast and the other end has slots to accept the H1 wires from the projectors. You then run the output wires from the ballast to the HID bulbs.

ok i think i see what your talking about. i have a main plug that comes off the bulb and plugs into the ballast as well as two other small plugs that plug into the ballast as well...then i have a blue and a black wire hanging off as well...do i wire those into the blue and black wires on the headlight?

cmon guys i know somebody knows the answer...............

you need to get a upgraded wiring harness from 3bspecs, it will make it easier and protect your stock wiring from overheating and melting

but it should come with adapters that plug into your old h1 bulbs and then to the ballast

Yes your right so far. You oull out the black and blue (in my case) wires from the headlight housing that connects (holds onto) the regular h1 bulbs. Then just connect black to black and blue to red. I have the Gen 1 projectors. If you still need help im taking pictures as i go along. I'l put tem up once im done if you need them.
