Thumbs up Turtle wax ICE!!! awsome shiznit

Well I finally did it, clay barred the car, used GOO Gone for lubrication and then the piece de resistance! ICE from Turtle wax Never I mean never has my car looked better, unfortunatly I have noticed alot of imperfections in the paint, damn GM

The clay bar (Mothers) was used up but worked nicely. But again that ICE polish /wax is truly awsome!!! I totally recomend it, water beads off like sweat off your grandmothers ass I put a clean cloth on the hood and it just slid right off. I can't wait to have to use my California duster (another great product). Sorry but my digital camera would not do justice to what my car looks like now!! So no pics Well I just wanted to stand up and say that after using Mothers products and Meguiers I'm liking Turtle wax way better ..

It does a decent job but if you want your paint protected for more than 3 weeks, I suggest you go get yourself a real wax

Get you a good "heavy" wax. Spend at least two hours washing and waxing you car.
( I take about 3-4 with Eagle One Nanowax, and that's actually a fast, easy to use wax that doesn't last as long) others have recommended Zaino, Mother's Pure Carnuba, or Turtle Wax Gold Class. It's just a matter of preference.
That will stay on your car for MONTHS. You can still wash it weekly or whatever and use some spray detailer like ICE to restore that shine to the wax coat.
That's what I do. Eagle one Nano wax every other month, wash and ICE spray detail about every other week.

What exactly is a clay bar? And how and when do u use it? I thought it was actually a bar but then I saw that ICE stuff had a "clay bar" but it was in a bottle like the ice liquid wax. And it said u wash ur car with it but u add it directly to a sponge. So I'm confused! I have a black balt. And I am never satisfied with a finished result. And I find myself washing it every week because it never keeps its shine. And never stays clean. Some one give me a whole line up of products to use and stuff please. But nothin crazy expensive like zano I don't have 116 bucks for a car washing kit. Thanks chris

there is a how to on here on how to use the clay bar, but basically you spray stuff, rub the bar and then wipe the excess off. its not hard.

It's not an actual "Bar" per se. It's like a peice of modeling clay. It's pretty soft.
You spray on some type of lubricant onto the car. (I.E. Detailer, cleaner wax, goo gone) and you flatten the clay out and run it over the clearcoat where the lube is at. It's soft and it picks up impurities and blemishes off the clearcoat. So that you can wax a perfectly clear surface, so you wont be waxing fine dirt particles into your paint and it will look better.
I think Mother's has got an actual Clay bar kit out there. At like wal-mart. It's a good way to start learning.
Keep in mind it takes ALOT of patience and time out of the sunlight to do this.

agree with whats said above.

I love the spray waxes too. they give amazing results.
GREAT for a quick clean up job.

but they have no longevity.

I went for a pure mothers carnuba for a solid base, and use Eagle nano for quick shines.

well if u ask me.. i just started to use black magic and so far is seems to be one of the better waxes ive used... i normaly use some really high end waxes when i wax boats for extra cash during the summer but so far its giving the cars and boats ive waxed dam near the same effect... the only difference between black magic and the stuff i use on the boats is that the stuff i use on the boats runs about 150 dollars a gallon and has the same effect as clay bar.. its like 4000 grit.. really fine stuff.. but does an amazing job

I'm a big fan of Meq's Gold Glass, it last a long time. I'm yet to find a liquid wax that can match the durability.

Meg's Cleaner Wax is the best damn thing I've ever used. It will remove all swirls from your paint, I have 0 swirls.

So what about the ICE wax that's a paste or w/e not the liquid stuff? Anyone every use that? I jus like the idea of no white powder residue after the wax job. That **** drives me nuts. What's a good soap to wash the car with also? Or is that irrlevant if u wax it good
