Vertical door kit

I found some great price vertical door kits like around 200-300, with everything. I cant tell if im being scammed or I found an amazing site.

You all probably know it but here it is
Chevrolet Cobalt Bolt-on Lambo Vertical Door Kit

If you all know a better site please tell me, not trying to spend more than 1000 on a kit, but also not get scammed or get a crappy kit.

If you drive your car every day I don't suggest lambos, I had them on my last car and honestly they become a pain in the ass after the first week of fun wares off. Wait till it's pissing raining and you have to get in or out of your car. Or it's raining and you have to open the door for some one to get in and ten for you to get it. Every thing gets wet. It becomes a bitch. Trust me. I had then for 3 years.

Second if you still are going to do them, spend the money on a good kit. I had gt factory and the kit and after install they were almost $3500. The worked flawless. Mind you it was a weld on kit not the cheaper bolt on kits.

Your call buy take into consideration more then the "cool factor"

I wasn't thinking about the variables. Doesnt the doors open horizontal also? The kits i was looking at were bolt on... Is that a bad thing. One site I was looking has a one year warranty. I understand you get what you pay for.

I suggest bolt on because they get old and more work, time, money wasted on welded. you don't plan on keeping them for years to come right? Only difference is the weld on is more sturdy and opens up more but the bolt on works good enough. I had vertical doors bolt on kit and I had a hinge go out but couldnt get a response from them so I said screw it and got rid of them.

Not all do, and normally the ones that do have issues with fender clearance and premature struts blowing.

Think it over and talk to people who have them. I would never do it again. It was fun while I was young, but the fad got old fast. ESP since my car wasn't a trailer queen and I drove it daily spring to fall.

Good point, they look awesome. Like you said its just a fad. Plus my cobalt is my daily driver. I can invest my money into better things.

I pm'd you. The good part is that they also open *almost* like normal doors, so you can get it or out without all the attention. But you can always be cool to impress when you feel like it :P
