VHT tint headlights?
VHT tint headlights?
I want to darken my first gens. I seen people that tint the headlights and looks nice. Has anyone use the tint spray? I don't want that dull look to them but a nice shine.
subd for answer i also would like to know if this is even legal i know some states it could be but im pretty sure pa would be ****** about this i know they get picky about covers and how well would a headlight shine thru vht
That's bad enough right there. You're already close to stock light output with those. Get 6000k bulbs. That'll help loads.
This is what I would do.
Im not talking about complete blackout look like those covers have. Thats way to dark for me.
Heres a pic of my friends car. He said he mixed black with clearcoat and sprayed them with a gun.

That's much different than nightshades. Nightshades are a really poor paint, which don't let very much light through. A mix of clear and black sprayed out of a gun, when done correctly, will let almost all the light through. That's how my tail lights are done, and they're barely dimmer than stock. Why not get your friend to tint them for you?
That's why you just paint EVERYTHING in the headlights black. With retrofits, you can do a total blackout. Paint the cutoff shield and the lens becomes black. Paint everything in the headlight black and well, you have the same effect.
just cleaned off the lense real good before i sprayed the vht and did a very light wet sand before the clear. i don't remember what i used though thos epictures are 2 years old lol. it was all rattle can though. same with the tails as well.
