VHT tint headlights?

I want to darken my first gens. I seen people that tint the headlights and looks nice. Has anyone use the tint spray? I don't want that dull look to them but a nice shine.

Do you drive at night? If so, don't do it. You're gonna kill your light output.

if you like the tinted look, get the covers for your lights that you can put on in the day and take off at night...don't spray your lenses though.

Pretty sure it's not. I think it puts you below the legal headlight brightness limit, or something like that. I've had friends get pulled over for them.

That's bad enough right there. You're already close to stock light output with those. Get 6000k bulbs. That'll help loads.

Im not talking about complete blackout look like those covers have. Thats way to dark for me.
Heres a pic of my friends car. He said he mixed black with clearcoat and sprayed them with a gun.

That's much different than nightshades. Nightshades are a really poor paint, which don't let very much light through. A mix of clear and black sprayed out of a gun, when done correctly, will let almost all the light through. That's how my tail lights are done, and they're barely dimmer than stock. Why not get your friend to tint them for you?

That's why you just paint EVERYTHING in the headlights black. With retrofits, you can do a total blackout. Paint the cutoff shield and the lens becomes black. Paint everything in the headlight black and well, you have the same effect.
