VHT Vinyl/Plastic Dye
VHT Vinyl/Plastic Dye
Hey I was just wondering if anyone had used the VHT Vinyl/Plastic dye before. I have used the NiteShades and loved it and want to change my neutral interior to black. I hear this stuff is good because it actually soaks into the applied area and perminately changes to color unlike paint that tends to crack and chip off. Just thought I'd see if anyone used it and get an opinion from someone besides the manufacture.

well just wanted to let everyone know that i talked to some guys in my car club that have done their interior and they said that the best thing they have used is the krylon fusion paint for the door panels and then the duplicolor vinyl/fabric paint for the seats.
I will be doing my door panels first. I am going to paint the top edge of the door black as well as were the speaker is and then dye the armrest black. Then the piece behind the door handle will be orange.
here is what mine is gonig to look like when im done

oh and i just installed power windows and locks so that door crank is gonig to be gone and there will be a gay little cover there

On this same subject, I was wanting to know if this stuff worked, because I got the idea to dye the mesh on my recaro seats. I have not seen anybody try that, but I would like to dye them so that they looked better. And possibly either dying the SS and RECARO logos a different color, or swapping out the SS logo and having the OPEL lightning bolt sewn there instead.
hey guys how do you get the stupid window crank off. I hear there is suppose to be some sort of u clip but on mine there is the crank and then behind it is a plastic ring with no opening and then the door panel. Not sure how it comes off. Anyone know? I have an 06 LS
Thanks I was able at actually see it this time but i can't seem to get a screw driver in the small area to pop it off. Looks like i may have to go and pick up one of those tools
).
Well i started on my doors today. I did the top section and speaker area with satin black krylon fusion and then used flat black duplicolor vinyl/fabric paint on the armrest. I will post some pics tomorrow. However I plan on painting the plastic piece behind the inside door handle and inside the armrest with color matched paint
A little off topic but, do u have any pics of after you did the pwr windows and locks. How much did it run you. Thanks
