my gen 4s were recently ruined when i was involved in a small wreck. the HID's still work in them tho. im undecided if i want to pay 70 bucks more for the gen 4's again. this **** has really been bugging me and i cant decide.opinions needed
if i get the gen 4's, can i put a silverstar ultra bulb in projector?

the gen4's i had were plug and play and were 8000k. too blue for me
so if order another set. i will get reg non HIDs and just get the cheapo bulbs
Lol you can get P&P HIDs for your gen4's or stockers.Just as easy as hooking up halogens but hey you wanna waste your money on silverstars have at it.I never liked them when I had my s10 and I had them in the stockers and projectors,Thank god for HIDS

i was looking for the complete plug and plays, like the 8000k plug and plays.thats all that DEPO offers, thats what i had, its expensive and its too much blue. im gonna get silverstars and if they burn out just go exchange them at walmart when they burn out.lol
just a matter of which light to get. still waiting on a photoshop of that light on my car, with clear relfector...

I voted gen4s, for a few reasons:
I got some, they came with Philips halogens that were equal in every way to SilverStar Ultras (because I bought the SilverStars after a bit, and compared, and they were identical).
Also, if/when you do go HIDs, gen4s are easy - plug and play, single, simple H7 bulb.
If you got stockers, going retrofit will be expensive for good work...going HIDs in stockers with retrofitting should be grounds to be beaten half to death.
