Water in Headlight Housing
Water in Headlight Housing
So i bought these headlights off a member on here and he siad they had no condensation probs. of course right. well about a week or so ago i started seeing condensation. i was planning on resealing them this weekend. well i go outside today and i have an inch of standing water!! he said he siliconed them and hot glued them. will the 200 degrees in the oven remove all this stuff i wanna take it all off and start over with it. please any help would be appreciated. i have to drive this home 45 miles with standing water. hope it doesnt blow my HID. sorry for the big pic i took it with my phone im at work. and obviosly whrer the condenstion stops is where the standing water is
make sure you pull all the bulbs out (stupid sounding i know, but ya never know with some people)
i'd turn the oven to 150 and just let it bake, you'll be able to leave the light in the oven for a long time this way.. the condensation/water will eventually evaporate, and you can reseal once all the water is COMPLETELY gone.
if you seal it back up with ANY water in there, it will have problems again

you shouldnt even have to take it apart, in fact, avoid taking it apart if you can.
let it just sit, the water will eventually evaporate. after that's happened, just throw more sealant around the edges where the lens and the housing meet.
