Why? If I ever get my whole car re painted I'd tell them to strip the trunk and weld the holes shut.

Dude,just a word at advise no matter what you do to your car and if you post something on here about it or show pictures of something that you did someone going to have a smart ass remark about what you did...Nothings good enough for the people on his website

Dude my brother in law is a painter and it wont be any harder for someone to repaint your car now that you sprayed your trunk with a can of paint all they need to do is sand the trunk down really good and thats all

because aerosol DOES NOT go good with Base/clear... there will be a chemical reaction and many resprays to get it to sit down correctly....

I give the guy props for atempting to do this himself and save some money, the pics in the sun dont look bad either. Wet sand it and it should really bring it out. Beats the hell outa plugging the holes and looking like total ****.

 

I agree I give the guy credit. At least he tried to do something. A lot of professional painters started out that same way by painting anything that they had. It really doesn't look that bad and hell it's not your car so why flame the dude? Bunch of Internet tough guys on here lol. I bet all of you have a few parts that you fixed on your car that isn't pitch perfect.
I say run with what you have for a while and save your pennies untilmu find a trunk for sale or can get it painted.
