I love the cobalt ss but the only thing i hate about it right now is the headlights. get rid of the yellow in them and throw in the projectors in either chrome or black (black being my favorite) and the cars would look so much sexier imo lol! will one of our vendors please make us these so our cars can look much better and be much brighter ?

in my opinion i would never buy aftermarket lights again.. i bought some halo's for my civic and i coud not see 3 ft in front me at night.. they were horrible.. i had to drive around with my high beams on in order to even to drive.. so i'm just gonna take apart my cobalt lights and paint them black.. that way they look good and still get good light output.

Just wait, I have a feeling GM will have a projector lamp available on the 07 cobalt. Should be able to swap them into our 05's and 06's

May as well paint the lights. Don't ge tme wrong, i love projectors, and would love to see projectors, or even an angel eyes fabrication, but before I got the cobalt, I had an Altima for years, and for years we kept hearing about projectors, but they never came out(Damned if those stupid ass altezzas didnt' come out in three months after announcment though..stupid crack head lights). So I wouldn't recommend holding your breath unless Mercury is right and GM makes them themselves.

ya im def interested in projector headlights. i wrote an email to a company and they gave me a quote
$450 Hella HID system including Hella Bi xenon projectors (brand new parts
with warranty)
$300 Rretrofit customization cost (most Japanese and German import)
$75 Type S projector enclosure (please check
http://hidtech.com/images/02171.jpg and
http://hidtech.com/projects/04accord.html)
$50 Plug and play wire harness for H4, 9004, 9007 lighting system with
relay
$50 Return shipping and handling within the US

so basically itll cost you $925 to get bi-xenon headlights with dual projector bulbs
pretty pricey!! SOMEONE MAKE IT CHEAPER
and make them look sharper, they're too rounded and bubble shaped

i just emailed about 10 different companies about making us some projectors and they are looking into it but they said that they need to make 500 pairs to start off with and i told them that they should have no problem selling those if they go ahead and make them i know at least 2 pairs would be sold with me

I was thinking that until I saw all those GMPP built Cobalts at Sema . The headlight upgrade will probabaly just consist of black housing , if there is a upgrade at all .

Would Opel/Vauxhall astra headlights ordered off Ebay.co.uk or from a vauxhall dealer in the UK fit a cobalt? Go to google and check out images of the Astra, the headlights look really similar in shape.

Nope. Also they are no where near the same shape. I have no idea where you got that idea.

Personally the only thing I hate about our cars is that god awful E-brake lever! WTF were they thinking?!
Hmmm...what is the most ergonomical shape we could use for a lever....I know a rectangle! And let's make it out of super sturdy plastic!

Anyways, I think the SS S/C should have head lamps that resemble the C6 head lamps. Projectors with a body colored housing.
What do you guys think?

That is very similar to what I did to my headlights. Only w/o the projectors. I think HID's are annoying cause most aftermarket I've seen are only BRIGHT w/ no dimmer settings.
