i had silvania silverstar ultras in my car, the first set lasted 6 months, got a free set and they lasted 8 months. unhappy with the life, im looking for something else. all i really know of that are decent is piaa bulbs. ive used them before and been happy, but hate the price.

anyone have any other bulbs they like???

I hear the Philips Xtreme Power bulbs have the highest lumens output you can get from a standard halogen bulb, not sure what the life is on them is though. I plan on switching to them when my Silvania Ultra Vision Plus bulbs burn out because I don't want to go HID because I've had bad luck with after market projector headlights... unless i can save for some retrofits lol.

 

Yup philips xtreme power OR the HIR bulbs. But HIR's dont fit the stock bulb size on the cobalt.

 

i had same issue so i bought Piaa s they come with a 1 year warrenty and im on my 2nd year with no dimming. i strongly recommend these i wont buy anythig else again.

 

no hid, i dont have projectors and im not gonna be the jackass blinding everyone with HIDs in stock housings.

i had piaa bulbs in my last 2 cars, they worked great and outlasted both cars (same set), my only gripe was the price. i thought id try the silverstars and they just suck for life.

havent seen the phillips bulbs around, ill have to look into them
