lol i know but im just wet over the idea of the same flexible material as stock. my car bottoms out too much to have a fiberglass bumper. sounds like its too expensive to make other then in glass thou

^^that lip that was quoted a few times is nice, but it hangs really low. I know that my car wouldn't get out of my driveway with it on, and based on the number of people complaining about ZZP's IC which hangs about half inch lower than stock (I think) I'd have to imagine you'll have a hard time selling a lip that low to most of this crowd. That is, unless it were AMAZINGLY flexible, which carbon fiber notably isn't.

I've seen a lot of interest in a hood that has good heat extraction.

For guys with TCs and aftermarket intercoolers the stock SS lower grill opening could stand to be a little bigger as it blocks the bottom portion of the IC. Something like this...

The OEM lower grill opening is shown in the bottom of the pic for comparison. Now make the lip go full width to the wheel opening and give it a bit more extension past the bumper in front (like an inch) and it would still look OEM-ish but more aggressive and all the guys who do the Evo paint mod (which is a lot) would want.

I also think that a proper wide body kit is overdue for the Cobalt. Front fenders in CF and a cladding for the rears ala S13 style would be relevant. Something like this...

or this... (but with a continuous full width side skirt)
**** I love that concept

what are u planning mind i ask?
no they don't attach. but they could all be mounted up together to resemble stock off of the car and a mold made that way. i would attach it to my car via hood pins, and the stock fender mounts inside the door.

i plan on getting rid of the unibody up front and making a tube chassis like front end. and mounting the intercooler and radiator like they do ballard and whitfields cobalts. also this way i could run a wider tire without having it stick out like civics.

I'd take some carbon fiber fenders. My car is silver so if they could make some in the silver carbon fiber it would look sexy.

i just wonder if they could use the same mold they use for fiberglass for other materials. if not id understand the market for it is probably to small to warrant making a second mold. but if they could use the same mold then maybe they could offer the poly made to order so it would take much more time and cost however much more it costs. so they wouldn't be out the money to stock them but they would still be able to get the sales from offering it

I don't hate the roof wing idea. I think with the right design it could look really good and be a great accent to a carbon hood/trunk. Not too sure about the one with little fins on it though ha.

True true. Would the diffuser mount underneath the bumper? I guess I've never really payed too much attention to them.

What about something simple like a new upper grille.

Yeah you would have to cut the bar out. Ideally the grill would need an extension on the sides to fill the holes.

the vortex generator on the roof would push the air down under the spoiler.... the spoiler would then work better with more straight air.
and the diffuser would push the air faster up against the end of the car

giving us better gas milage and more downforce

Ahhh I see. Not a bad idea if it was priced right!

I like that too. A rear diffuser would be nice and I would be willing to cut out the center portion of my rear bumper (between where the grills are) to make the outlet high and wide. Having the grills in the rear and a diffuser below would look weird IMHO.
