what temp fogs to go with 5000k headlights?

i have 5000k hids in my projectors, but dont know what temp to get for my fogs im putting in. should i get 3000k, 5000k to match or something nice and blue like 10,000k? output is a factor, but at the same time the road is lit up plenty without them. looks are more important than performance in this application for me

well.... i ahve 12000k in mine lol. love em. output and looks = great. imho, 3000k looks ricey, but thats just my opinion. id say match with the 5000k or go with the 10000k.

match for output, yellow fogs are for euro cars. go high k for looks, I saw a newer f150 last night with what looked like 4300k straight white hids and super blue hid fogs really looked awsome.

ha purple? i agree the darker blues look decent with certain cars. but 12000k is purple dude. my GF wanted to put 12000k hid's in her car until i trained her to not be gay ha.

its all good. when i finish my retro build(hopefully before CED), i was thinknig of toning it down to 10000k or 8000k, since i feel it might be overwhelming on everyone elses eyes lol. as for now, its purple lol

6K 55w

I wish I would have gone with 5K head instead of 6K. If i didn't have my fogs my heads wouldn't cut it alone ESPECIALLY in the rain the other night

and my retros use a morimoto 35w kit, would a buyhids 5000k look the same as the morimoto 5000k? if im matching colors then they need to actually match. i have no problem dishing out 150 for the morimoto if it will look/perform better.

i have the same headlight setup as you (minus the shrouds style).. and i have a 35w DDM 5k's and they match perfectly with the morimoto 35w 5k's.. they dont make a difference much at night. maybe they spread light a little wider outwards if anything (but not much).. i think the 5k's look good when you have your running lights on though (aka halos) cuz they will match that also

this pic was taken when i had my g1 series retrofits, but its a very very close comparison to the MH1's just give you an idea of the output in general
