Do you have to send multiple bezels?? I'm gonna make one, I would volunteer it out if thats all I gotta do, as long as it doesn't cost me anything.

I don't have to send multiple bezels...I was doing that to help him get a head start doing these. I actually have the stock one I removed laying around.

So what exactly is required to get one mass-produced?? Just a donor copy to lotek or autometer or someone??

To 05REDROCKET, not to be a killer of your rant or anything, BUTTTT....

A standard mold for fiberglassing doesnt cost more then $100. Granted, if they were using metal for the bolds, your looking at $60,000. but if a company is willing to do it, they will do a small temporary mold, which will run $10-20 (if that)....

Ive worked with fiberglassing for years, and have "mass produced" many products, you set up about 5-10 small ass molds, do yer thing, pullem out, start over again.

Good luck to all of you with this.

Guys, I had a company ready to make these for us but not 1 member would send in 1 finished bezel to them to mass produce.

Everyone wants one but nobody capable of making a perfect mold stepped up.

It was very simple, I had everything worked out and nobody stepped up.

Look if you guys want to keep going with this someone has to send a finished bezel to Lotek Inc.

Here is the link to their site. Thay already know all about it. Just call them and send them a finished bezel.

http://www.gaugepods.com/

BTW, last I heard a member was becoming a supporting vendor to sell these.

How much are you selling them for?

Yet, here I am, still waiting (for 2 weeks now) for a response and payment instructions as they "review" our site.

As for the pods, we are going to sell the dual pod bezels. They won't be out for another month or so though. If I could get them out faster, I would... but the delay is due to the manufacturer, not us. We just distribute them.

Believe me guys, as soon as I have more information, we'll post it up.
Thanks man, glad someone is taking this product over. I would love to have one of these...TONS OF GAUGES FTW!!!

Finally got the instructions on becoming a supporting vendor. Hopefully we'll be set-up this week/weekend. Once we do that, I'll get a list together of who all is interested.

I'm thinking that these might be able to ship next month. I'm still waiting on a little more info from the manufacturers, but it's looking good so far. It's a complex process... as has been stated above. It's a business... so in order to have any progress, we have to convince the manufacturers that they can make money off of this, even if we have to cut our profit margins on it at first just to get it produced. Rest assured, I'm working on it.

I'm gonna make my own anyway now. I already bought the bezel, so I guess I have to. Glad to see this finally work out, I would have done it with mine if I needed to. Now I just gotta come up with the money for the Aeroforces....

maybe its a marketing ploy to get us to buy more gauges. The companies only offer three gauge pods, but most of us only want one more guage, so we are stuck with a three guage pod with an empty hole or buy another guge to fill it. Just a thought.

Still looking into having this mass produced. We're getting some bad feedback from the possible manufacturers though. They're saying this isn't an easy piece to mold. I'm trying to work with them to make it economical to mass produce and offer.

Not easy, then damn you guys shoud get paid the big bucks for coming up with such a tough product to make. It sucks that things are made so difficult when trying something new and having the larger companies get involved. Good luck man, we are pulling for you.

I don't remember the exact issue, but it has something to do with the geometry of the piece and how difficult it is to actually cast the pieces in a mold.

Right, usually they make the mold in two halves, with the plastic injected into the middle. With our desing, you can't do that because it would wrap around the mold, and you couldn't take it off in one piece.
