haha...if we can get someone to answer this for us, that will be great for a good stance on the base model with lower springs

Of course you can. You're wheel mounts to the drums exactly like it mounts on your rotor. Anything over 5mm and you're going to need longer studs.

What's the point besides a 10mm wider stance?

It depends on the size of the spacer. If you're running a big enough spacer that it had studs in the spacers as well then you won't need longer studs.

10mm wider on a car thats 5-6 feet wide doesn't really seem necessary unless you're trying to squeeze something in behind the rim like a Brembo Kit...

5mm would be safe on stock studs

This. I run 8mm and extended studs. They're pretty flush.

Tons of people run drums. What's the big deal? A car can look nice with drums, it really isn't a big deal.

Personally, i think drums hold up for breaking better than disks for small cars. In a heavy ass full size its needed, but on a compact....ehhh.. I had an 07 ss/sc, have a 2.2 ls, and screwed around in a ss/na. I just felt more breaking and hold in the ls vs the ss/na with rear disks. Altho brembos will be better than stock reguardless. But thats just me. All around disks look way much better. Just depends if you like looks or not. Ither way, its your car. Not no one elses.
