I'll agree that the stick on wheel weights don't look the best.... but they are on there for a reason... if you take 'em off it'll throw the wheels off balance and the car will ride like absolute shyte. Now if you're one of those people who don't care about ride quality... then I suggest you ditch the 18's and go for a lift kit and a nice shiny set of 24's. If you're gonna ruin the ride... go all out.

wont the shop you get your tires put on and balanced at do that for you ?
Also wont they have to put on similar type weights when you do get them balanced...
(rim clip on type not gonna work on the SS rims without like hammering em into the metal and making a nasty mess)

Well...they can't really mess up the wheel when they take the weights off. At least when i used to do that crap i never actually ruined anyones wheel and i was always yanking the s**t off. I would actually have to try to ruin someone wheel but i never did. I believe you can have the weights placed on the inside of the wheel (i'm pretty sure of that) the shop has to have the right equipment to do that sort of work though. If you are worried about looks asked the shop if they can place the weights on the inside.

Read in another thread to use a hairdryer to loosen (in this case) the weight to ease removal , then remove the residual with (W)ater (D)isplacement - 40. I don't want the adhesive leftovers. The weights will be on the inside , it's really about the only place to put them!
WD-40 has a multitude of uses that was originally developed for the military. In those days our government paid $876.32 a can. And Yes , the cans were gold plated.
