I was wondering if there is a special process to follow when painting the stock cobalt ss/sc wheels (black)?

my friend painted his srt4 rims black.....he sanded the rims down (after removing tires), the primered them, the put a couple coats of rim paint on. He didnt use the gloss cuz he wanted to let them flat black. They turned out great tho. Good Luck
