So I'm looking to find a front lower lip extension from the SS/SC for my SS/NA.

It's GM part number 12336084.

Crate Engine Depot has it for $165 which isn't bad.. except that they won't ship the damn thing due to the "size of box".. which is kind of ridiculous since they ship freaking crate engines..

A couple of other GM parts site have it, but for a bit more. Anyone know where I can get the best price on this? I've heard of people getting them for under $150... aftermarket is fine since it'll have to be painted anyhow. Any tips - appreciated

Another question about this part, a couple of sites list a different part - but the same number - for an 05 and 06-07. Anyone know if there is an actual difference?

 

just look around on these forums, u might find someone selling one, i got lucky and found someone selling one, thats how i got mine. and it was ALOT cheaper.

 

How about an RK Sport lip? Its similar but cut out in the middle.

 

I'd be okay with the RK lip except that I haven't seen one on an SS and I'm not sure how well it'd go with the rest of the SS/NA effects.

I'm really not wanting to change anything else and I don't want it to sit too low, which I'm afraid of.

Does anyone know if the 07 OEM lip works differently than the other years? On my ss/sc I feel two bolts behind the lower grill and clips on either side... there's a place for these on the ss/na but they don't show up on Crate Engine's diagram photo of the part.

Man.. I kinda love that.
Only time I'd really seen it was with the rest of the RK sport on their red car... looks good in white, probably look better in silver .

Edit - I'm assuming the 2.0 lip would probably stay just as easy with some mounting tape, worst case just drill where the brackets are. I know the 07 ss/na's bumper already has the above mentioned slots for physically securing it as well..
