White Sport Gauges

I was curious to if I can just swap out the cluster and keep the milage and everything without having to get it reprogrammed. I know on the newer cavaliers you could...I thought instead of trying to buy and install the optional white sport gauges myself just swap the cluster itself out if possibly found at a junkyard in working condition.

I tried to get them from the accessories person when I was buying my car, but she later on called me with a number to a car parts outlet that their dealership goes through. Saying that the dealership itself didn't have them and to check with the parts dealer.

That would be a lot of wasted money and time. They make face plate kits for this car in lots of different colors, not just white. And you wouldn't have the replace the entire cluster to do it.

And the mileage is stored in the Body Control Computer. The cluster just displays the number.

You should be able to. Most of the new guages are plug and play. All the mileage memory is kept in the CPU so you should have nothing to worry about.

Here ya go. You can find these by using the search tool in the tool bar above. A lot of this stuff already has posts about it.

Those guages are pretty cool.. I'd like to see them lit up though.
