First off I'm not usually a fan of big wings, and that has been my only reservation with the cobalt ss. But after following one for 40 miles I think the wing fits very well with the car, and it's not as big as you really think it is. I'm waiting to see what RKsport comes up with for a replacement wing. I believe that they make most of their wings fit the factory holes.
I definitely wouldn't shave the wing off a brand new car and have it repainted. I agree that the massive bowtie has to go off the rear.........

If you don't like the wing, find a young kid with a base model and swap trunk lids. SCC did this when they flat-blacked their STI project car. Just make sure to exchange the lock cylinder too - they forgot and the guy had to come back.

i think the wing is part of the car...ive grown attached to it....someday 30 years from now were gonna be like i remember i had a car and it ran on gas...and are kids are gonna be like whats gas and were gonna be like it came out of the ground in the middle east and there gonna be like whats that.....anyway the wing is gonna be part of the redline and the cobalts heritage someday

took my pic of the red one and removed the wing with it lowered...
and i honestly like it more with the wing...
