Who has an LED underbody kit?

hey my dad just got this old tricked out '99 jeep. and it has a nice ass speaker system in it and it had and LED underbody kit. my dad said if i took it off i could keep it. i wasnt planning on getting one before but hey, its FREE so y not!? my only problem is the i have about 4 18 in rods. so it may be too short, but im still gonna try it.

has anyone done this for their cobalt, if so, can you go over installation for me please? i pretty much know everything just, did you drill into the car? How did you ground it? and....where's the fuse box lol?

I got 2 set of under car and 1 set of wheel whell LED"S they are the sweetest invention of glows yet. I didn't install them but i have taken a peek as to where it all is hooked up and such.

You do not need to drill out anything their are already holes in our cars that can be used and plugged without any worries. Their are 2 fuse boxes in our cars. One under the hood and one on the passengers side to the left of their feet in the center console. The fuse box in the car is what they used to install it. It's no trouble at all pulling those side covers off just pull them. I've had both off.

The only downside to MY LED system(streetglow) is the connections are like that of a keyboard to computer connection so they don't stay in very well(vibrate out). Just need to keep pushing them in if I sense the glows aren't working right.

it's more under your stereo if you get in your passenger side door and sit in the chair right where your left foot is, is where the fuse box is. there is a plastic panel that just pops in and out. you just pop that cover off and you'll see a bunch of fuses and on the panel you just took off it has what each fuse is for.

I took mine off. I never used it anyway. It was really just to pretty much say I have it. Actually I just have the front light on still. Lights up the bottom grill really nice. I have to fix my top grill lights though.

Here are some pics of mine. I have every hooked up so that then you open the door they go on. I did that by adding a push switch into my doors. everything Is wired to the pos in the engine bay and grounded there an added a fuse.
anyway on to the pics...

I got 2 six feet and 2 4 feet multi color LEDs. Those are connected to a junction box and that's connected to the controller inside the box. It's wireless so I control it with a wireless remote.

In those pics I dont have the upper lights in for the top grills but that one is mounted just before the grill starts to the bumper.

Same got wireless remote plus a central command for the wheel whells. Put that on the compartment left of the steering column. I would post some pics if I knew how. I'm going to try. I like blue the best only because the car is blue but whateve.

Ya it is pretty kick ass. Should of spent that money on performance but that's behind me now. Gave me some time to get used to the car. Then once i add more parts it's be really noticable for me.

I'm gonna try that photo bucket site later on.

Here are mine, a 7 color kit I got for 80 from a shop around here.. Ran all the lights to the battery thing under the hood. I used zip ties on the front and rear, and velcro on the side ( time will tell how it holds up under the texas heat ). I had to extend the wires on the side and rear led strips, but a small price to pay for a comfortable and simpler install.
